Temp-Mail.se provides a temporary inbox without account registration in the free version. Use it for a short task that does not need future contact. This guide describes the actual controls and their limits.
Copy the current address
Open the inbox, wait for an address and select Copy. Paste the complete address, including @temp-mail.se, into the service you want to test. Do not use a loading message as an address.
Receiving messages and finding codes
The page checks for new email every five seconds during an active session. Delivery still depends on the sender. Open a message to read it. The code helper recognizes patterns such as four- and six-digit numbers, so it can mistake another number for a code. Check the actual message before using a suggested code.
What extending means
The free timer starts at 10 minutes. Extending resets it to 10 minutes rather than adding ten minutes to what remains. For example, 02:30 becomes 10:00, not 12:30. Premium uses 60 minutes and enables sending email. The current price and terms are shown before purchase.
What happens at zero?
The free inbox is active for 10 minutes. It then stops receiving messages and keeps existing email for another 10 minutes so you can extend the same inbox. Extending resets the session to 10 minutes and moves its deletion deadline. Without an extension, the free inbox, messages and address-related technical data are removed by server cleanup, normally within one minute after the deadline. Starting Stripe Checkout reserves existing messages for 30 minutes; the server checks payment before deletion. Account and Premium-linked inboxes are excluded from free cleanup. Premium sessions last 60 minutes.
Reloading does not restart the server deadline. During recovery, extend the same inbox or begin Checkout. If Stripe is unavailable or payment is still processing, the reservation may remain longer until the outcome can be verified.
New address and returning later
New address switches the inbox to a different address and clears the old browser view. This is not proof of server deletion. The browser saves an access token and address locally to reopen the inbox. Clearing site data or switching device can remove your access. Do not share the access token.
Data and security limits
The service processes messages, addresses and technical information, including IP addresses. HTTPS protects the browser connection; the service can access message contents, so this is not end-to-end email encryption. Do not use it for sensitive information, banking or accounts requiring password recovery.
